The ability to effectively negotiate is one of the most important skills in business, and for life in general.
There are hard negotiations (such as contracts, prices, salary, buying a car or home) and there are soft negotiations (such as getting a team member to “volunteer”, or getting the kids to do their homework). For business success we must be able to determine the most appropriate kind of negotiation style to use, but be able to seamlessly adapt depending upon the position the other side take.
